Here's an overview of what you can find about us on the internet. This is a good overview for you and also interesting for us.
Important note beforehand:
The name "Lambda-Tuning" often sounds like car chip tuning (because of the lambda sensor in the car). However, Lambda-Tuning GmbH is a company specializing in racing bike tuning and high-quality bicycle components.
The company's origins actually lie in engine tuning , which is how Jan Smekal has gained a high level of recognition in German-speaking countries. Anyone familiar with his car projects knows why.

Origin: The webshop started around 2013 under the name Lambda-Racing .
Development: Jan Smekal (Dipl.-Ing. Aerospace Engineering) contributes the technical know-how for aerodynamics, while Tina Smekal (Dipl.-Sports Scientist) manages the business operations and customer service.
Philosophy: The company advertises that it develops products based on its own experience (the founders are active cyclists) and with a technical background (aerospace engineering). They often position themselves as a cost-effective, technically equivalent alternative to major brands.
In their shop they emphasize that they primarily offer products that they have tested or driven themselves – they don't want to sell mere advertising promises, but meaningful tuning at a fair price.
Core products:
Aero handlebars: The "Cross-Wing" handlebar is particularly well-known for gravel and racing bikes (optimized for aerodynamics and ergonomics).
Aerodynamic wheels: Carbon wheelsets for racing bikes and time trial bikes.
Saddles & Accessories: Carbon saddles, bottle holders, etc.
High-end racing bikes with a configurator to perfectly adapt your racing bike to your own needs and wishes.
Currently, the portfolio includes two aero road bikes, two gravel road bikes, one time trial bike and one track bike.
The company operates two websites:
for carbon tuning products for your racing bike (handlebars, saddle, accessories)
for the wheels and racing bikes

General / Company Profile
Name : Lambda-Tuning GmbH

Management & Team
Management : Tina Smekal is the managing director.
Technical Development : Jan Smekal (Dipl.-Ing.) is responsible for technical development.
The company has a family background: it is run by people who are themselves active cyclists.

Philosophy & History
Lambda-Tuning is a family business with a strong cycling background: The company's drive also comes from the founders' own racing (licensed races, track, road).
Jan Smekal was formerly a professional racing driver – this gave him a lot of experience, especially in terms of performance materials and aerodynamics.
When it comes to tuning, they place great importance on good advice: customers receive assistance in selecting handlebar width, material, technology, etc.
They emphasize that they do not want to grow rapidly: The webshop is operated “autonomously at the limit of available working time” – so not a large expansion company, but a passionately run small business.
Customer reviews & reputation
Lambda-Tuning has very good ratings on Trustpilot (TrustScore and Google Reviews 4.8/5 based on over 100 reviews). Customers particularly praise: fast delivery, personal and competent advice, and high product quality.
Customer comments particularly highlight their carbon handlebars and well-thought-out service ("friendly family business", "expert know-how in cycling").
In relevant cycling forums (e.g. Rennrad-News.de) and on review platforms, you can regularly find discussions and feedback about the company:
Reviews: The company has very positive reviews on portals like Trustpilot.
Customer praise: Frequently praised are the direct and competent contact (often the owners themselves respond), the high quality of the carbon parts and the price-performance ratio.
Criticisms: In some older forum posts, the origin of the parts (Asian imports with in-house engineering upgrades) is discussed, although the company's technical developer often transparently explains which specifications (e.g., brake tracks, profiles, frame details) were developed in-house.
Business Process & Logistics
Shipment :
For Germany: free shipping on orders over €100, otherwise €4 shipping.
EU-wide: free for amounts over €200, below that €5.
Outside the EU: free shipping for orders over €600, otherwise €25.
Delivery times : Typically 2-4 days within Germany, up to 10 days to other EU countries, up to 20 days outside Europe.
Payment : We accept bank transfer, PayPal, and credit card. Cash on delivery is also possible for Germany (by prior arrangement).
Warranty : Statutory 2-year warranty. For carbon parts, there is a kind of "crash replacement" policy ("crash replacement for 2 years, then 25% to 50% discount on a new purchase").
The new 2026 LAMBDA Twin Force frame has a 5-year warranty .
Technology & Documentation
They have extensive technical manuals for their products (e.g., for carbon handlebars) in which they provide information on assembly, maximum torque, and safety.
Financial/business figures
According to OpenRegister, Lambda-Tuning GmbH was registered in 2024 (registration on 05.03.2024) with a share capital of €25,000.
The company is listed as "economically active" in the Creditreform entry.
Assessment / Significance
Niche provider with a high degree of specialization : Lambda-Tuning is not a mass manufacturer, but focuses on high-quality carbon components for cycling enthusiasts, especially in the aero sector.
Passion & Know-how : The family background paired with their own racing experience gives the company credibility — they “sell what they themselves drive”.
Quality vs. cost : They want to be a "cost-effective alternative to brand-name companies," but still offer genuine technical products with good service and support – this is an attractive model for ambitious cyclists who don't necessarily want the biggest industrial brands.
Good reputation : The very positive customer reviews suggest that they are valued in the community – especially for personal advice and service.
Limited growth potential : Since the company is deliberately kept small ("no plans to build companies with many employees" according to the website), strong scaling may not be the goal, but rather a sustainable, high-quality operation.

The Cross-Wing is the best-known and most innovative product of Lambda-Tuning GmbH.
bH (marketed under Lambda-Tuning ). It is a carbon handlebar specifically designed to bridge the gap between a classic road bike handlebar and a time trial aero bar.
Here are the details that make this handlebar special:
1. The unique selling point: The “Aero-Hoods”
The most striking feature of the Cross-Wing is the shape of the tops of the handlebars. They are not only flat (aerodynamic), but also have inwardly angled hoods and indentations for resting the forearms. In addition, the handlebars are narrower than most standard road bike handlebars from major manufacturers.
Function: These allow the rider to place their hands far forward on the top of the handlebars, similar to a time trial aerobar (triathlon aerobar), but without additional weight or mounting.
Advantage: You can rest your forearms horizontally on the handlebars (the "puppy paw" position), while still maintaining a secure grip thanks to the hooks. This offers significant aerodynamic advantages (according to the manufacturer, approximately 12–20 watts saved at 40 km/h).
Safety: Unlike resting the arms freely on a normal handlebar (which has been banned by the UCI in professional cycling), the hooks provide support against slipping, especially when sweating or on uneven terrain.

2. Areas of application
The handlebar is aimed at two main groups:
Gravel bikers & long-distance riders: The wide contact surface distributes pressure better on the hands, which is very comfortable on long distances (bikepacking, ultra-cycling).
Road cyclists: The improved aerodynamics make it interesting for riders who want to be faster but don't ride pure time trial bikes.
3. Technical Data & Geometry
The geometry is modern and designed for versatility:
Material: full carbon (UD Carbon).
Weight: Very light, depending on the width approx. 200g to 230g (that is extremely light for an aero handlebar).
Flare (exhibition): The handlebars have a "flare," meaning the lower link is wider than the upper link. This provides more control off-road.
Cable management: This is done in a cable duct, which greatly simplifies installation. Alternatively, internal cable routing can also be used.
Ergonomics: The top handle is slightly bent back (backsweep), which ensures a more relaxed wrist position when gripping the top.
4. Customer feedback & criticism
The handlebars are often discussed in the community (e.g., road bike news or gravel bike forums):
Positive:
The price-performance ratio (often cheaper than comparable branded products from Zipp or Enve).
The actual, noticeable relief on long-distance journeys.
Stiffness during sprints combined with damping comfort.
Unlike other aero handlebars with internal cable routing, installation here (brake lines in the cable channel) is very easy.
Please note:
The design is polarizing. Some love the technical look, while others find the flare on a racing bike takes some getting used to.
It should be noted that this aero handlebar is narrower than the standard (“hood-to-hood”), while the lower section is significantly wider due to the flare.
Summary
The Cross-Wing is a niche product that, through intelligent engineering (by Jan Smekal), offers a solution to a specific problem: aerodynamics and comfort.
